Melissa Roberts is a Managing Director in the Equity Research department at Stephens, Inc. and provides Strategic Opportunities research, including index rebalancing strategies.
Melissa brings over 20 years of experience to her role and most recently, worked in a similar capacity at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods. She monitors corporate actions and scheduled index rebalancing events to produce timely membership and reweighting forecasts for major market indexes, including the US Russell Index family. Melissa has extensive research experience on studying price/volume inefficiencies surrounding index rebalancing, having tracked 23 Russell Reconstitutions.
Melissa has a unique background in equity research as well as index design/construction and traded product execution, having served in her previous role as the Co-Chair of KBW-Nasdaq’s index business for nearly a decade.
